Today we had a visit from The Essex Dental Clinic, they played games with us about how to keep our teeth healthy. Here's what we learnt:

Don't wet your toothbrush before you clean your teeth.
Brush in small circles, not up and down.
Use an electric toothbrush if you can.
Clean your teeth for 2 minutes
Don't rinse your mouth after you've cleaned your teeth.
Don't eat sweets as a snack, have them with your meals.
Only drink water and milk between meals.

In Art we studied Henri Rousseau, a French artist. We experimented with watercolours to recreate parts of his famous painting ‘Surprised’.

Rev Rachel visited the school to lead a special Easter service. The children took part as superheroes, with some sharing readings to help us learn about the Christian Easter story.

We investigated structures in DT using cocktail sticks and marshmallows. Which do you think would be stronger? A square structure or a triangular structure? What about if you add a strut?

Egyptian Day

We had a fabulous morning creating gifts for the Queen and the Pharaoh. During the afternoon we were entertained by a variety of plays and dances while eating a banquet of wine, bread and cheese.
